Sometimes I wish I had the ability to press pause. Life is hectic, people are rushing, children are growing up fast, friends and family can be far away and we are all trying desperately to hold on to what is most important to us. That is precisely why I take photos. When the shutter is pressed, life does pause, even if only for a second. And having those photos, being able to see them or touch them at any moment, is as close as we can get to an actual “pause” button. I am thankful each time I see a photo and remember the feeling of the moment, and I believe there is magic in still photography.
